Lisa ZukauskasSVP, Chief Procurement Officer

Lisa Zukauskas is a Procurement Strategy and Transformation executive with over 25 years of demonstrated experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Outsourcing and Supplier Management in the Human and Animal Health Pharmaceutical industry. She has developed and managed teams globally, supporting both Direct and Indirect categories, for Corporate Functions, Manufacturing and Research and Development and has managed >$2B in annual spend and $50m in direct P&L responsibility.

During her tenure at Merck, Lisa has been at the forefront of several transformational changes at the company,division and functional level, often being one of the Sponsors or drivers of the changes. Most notably, she led a multi year integration and transformation in Procurement and Supply Chain for Merck’s Animal Health Division. She also has a demonstrated track record of leading teams in evaluating and implementing supply strategies to consolidate manufacturing assets, including management of resulting supply relationships. As the Head of External Manufacturing for Merck, Lisa was responsible for managing over 150 outsourced partners supplying API, Drug Product, Packaging and Devices, globally. As the Chief of Staff for the CPO, she led the integration of the Procurement function post merger with Schering Plough and subsequent Procurement Re-Engineering.

In her last role, Lisa was the SVP and Chief Procurement Officer of Organon, a $6B Women’s Health Company. In that role, Lisa was responsible for managing a team of over 125 people globally in support of $2B in external spend. She was appointed to this role prior to the spinoff from Merck in 2021 and played a significant role in the pre/post spinoff design and implementation team for Manufacturing and Procurement. As part of this team, Lisa was responsible for Organizational Design, Policy Development, Process Simplification, Integrated Governance of the Source to Procure process and selection and deployment of a new ERP system. She also served on the Corporate ESG, EHS, Diversity and Crisis Management Councils, including development of initial post spin policies and corporate commitments. As a female executive in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Lisa is active in providing Advisory Services to several companies, participates in various CPO Councils and mentors existing and emerging CPO’s.

Lisa has BS in Chemistry from Drexel University and an MBA in Supply Chain from Lehigh University.
